The Red Mountain String Band will entertain the monthly contra dance at the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association Historic gym this weekend.

The dance will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at 283 Ga. 255 N, Sautee Nacoochee. A welcome lesson begins at 7:30 p.m. Dancing will be from 8-11 p.m.

Tickets are $7 for members, $9 for nonmembers, $5 for students and children 12 and younger are free.

Members of the long-established band are Jim Cauthen on the fiddle, Joyce Cauthen on the guitar, Phil Foster on the mandolin, Jamie Finley on the harmonica and banjo ukulele, Bill Martin on the autoharp and Nancy Jackson on the bass.

Warren Doyle of Tennessee will act as caller.

The next Contra dance will be Dec. 28 and feature Georgia musicians Scott Russell, Beverly Smith and John Grimm. Susan Davis will be the caller.
