The third annual Hall County Schools Fit Families 5K will be Saturday, May 3, at Laurel Park The 5-kilometer and 1-mile fun run is part of the school system’s wellness initiative, which encourages healthy life styles. Hall County School District wellness coordinator Jake Weiers will direct the event, which features award winners in multiple categories from grade school to senior citizens. Categories in the 5K include top overall male and female, top male and female masters (40 and older) and top three male and female in groups age 8 and younger, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 and older.
