North Georgia Theatre, a professional theater company in residence at Piedmont College, will hold auditions for the 2012 Summer Season from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 17 at the Swanson Center for Performing Arts and Communications in Demorest.

Men and women 18 years of age and older are encouraged to audition for the repertory company, which will perform the musical "I Do, I Do!," "The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)," and "Nunsense" this summer.

"This is an exciting opportunity for local actors to work with theater professionals from around the Southeast region and tackle diverse theatrical material," says Bill Gabelhausen, NGT Executive Director. "And, getting paid to perform isn't bad either." Actors selected to join the company will be contracted to work from May 13-July 2.

Actors wanting to audition should prepare a one-minute monologue and a song to be performed a cappella. To schedule an audition, contact John Spiegel, NGT Artistic Director, at 706-778-8500, ext. 1332, or email
