As residents browse through booths or climb into the carnival-style rides during Mule Camp Market, the Next Chapter Bookstore will offer a quiet reprieve.

In its new location inside the former Frames You-nique building, the bookstore will have 12,000-plus books up for grabs during its seventh annual Giant Book Sale.

The sale will begin with a preview from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at 104 Main St. in Gainesville. Admission is $5.

The regular sale with free admission will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.

All books cost less than $5 with the exception of collectibles. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted.

Proceeds will benefit The Next Chapter Bookstore and Our Neighbor Inc. The mission of both agencies is to assist and inspire those with disabilities to reach their maximum opportunity for independence.

Volunteers are needed to help sort books, making it ideal for high school and college students to earn service hours.
