The music of the late John Denver is like an old friend, outlasting trends and withstanding the test of time.

Now visitors to and residents of Northeast Georgia will hear his music again as a tribute to the legendary artist will be performed at 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Holly Theater in downtown Dahlonega.

Performing Denver’s hits will be Jim Curry, whose voice was used in the CBS-TV movie “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story.”

Curry has performed Denver’s music in sold out shows all throughout the country. His uncanny ability to mirror John’s voice and clean-cut look takes audience members back to the time when “Rocky Mountain High” “Sunshine” “Calypso” and “Annie’s Song” topped the charts.
