Four bands with repertoires of ranging from country to rock ’n’ roll will entertain audiences and raise money for a charity, all under the name of Mitch Farmer.
“It’s a benefit concert for the Hall-Dawson CASA program,” said Heather Hammontree, program coordinator for the Court Appointed Special Advocate program. “The reason it’s called the Mitch Farmer June Jam is one of our volunteer’s husband was a huge supporter. He has passed away and it’s named in his memory.”
The 11th annual Mitch Farmer June Jam will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, with the gates opening to The Arts Council Smithgall Arts Center in downtown Gainesville. Performers include Peggie Hoskins & Vertigo, Ultra Band, Gregg Erwin and Fly Betty, Hammontree said.
Sweet Butts BBQ will cater the event, or attendees may bring their own food and drinks for a picnic-style meal. A Kidzone with children’s activities including face-painting will be situated on the grounds.
Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased online at www.mitchfarmerjunejam.com, by calling the CASA office at 770-531-1964 or in person at the CASA office at 603 Washington St. SW in Gainesville. Tickets may be bought for $30 at the gate at 331 Spring St. SW in Gainesville. Children 12 and younger may enter for free.
Sponsorship purchases range from $100 for your name or company name on the event T-shirt to $1,500 for 1 table, 12 tickets, 12 food tickets and a T-shirt sponsorship.
All proceeds support CASA, which serves abused and neglected children in Hall and Dawson counties.
