Libraries are filled from top to bottom with fiction, nonfiction, biographies and mysteries. But for two nights in two separate Hall County libraries, one mystery will come to life.

The Friends of the Hall County Library will host its annual murder mystery dinner theater fundraiser at 6 p.m. April 22 North Hall Tech Center at 4175 Nopone Road in Gainesville. A second event will be at 6 p.m. April 23 at Spout Springs Library, 6488 Spout Springs Road, in Flowery Branch.

This year’s theme is “Murder on the Battery.” And in the play, Wadsworth “Wad” O. Bredd, a ruthless business mogul and media star, is found murdered during a library gala in Manhattan’s Battery Park.

Attendees to the dinner will search for the culprit to solve the mystery. Suspects will be played by Friends of the Library members, library staff and local celebrities.

Tickets are $50 each and include a five-course buffet-style meal. Seating is limited.

Proceeds will benefit the Hall County Library System.
