For North Georgia residents thinking of starting a small farm, the White County Extension Office is hosting a Goat and Sheep Workshop and Field Day today. The workshop will begin at 12:30 p.m. March 6 at the White County AgriScience Center at 44 Claude Sims Road off Ga. 129 North. Dr. Will Getz and Dr. Thomas Terrill of Fort Valley State University will talk about parasites, controlled breeding program specifics, pasture management, pesticide management and the latest research.
