Although summer 2014 doesn’t officially come to a close until Sept. 22, Lanier Islands plans to mark the season’s end with a “Last Blast of Summer”-themed Labor Day weekend. Set to take place at the lakeside beach, boardwalk and waterpark district, the celebration will encompass four days of fun from Friday through Monday.
