Holly Theater to tell classic childrens tale

The classic tale of a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a barn spider named Charlotte will be revived on the Holly Theater stage the first two weekends in February.

UPDATE: Because of weather interfering with final rehearsals, this weekend's shows have been canceled.

“Charlotte’s Web” will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. Feb. 7-9, at 69 W. Main St. in Dahlonega.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for children and students.

The story centers on Wilbur, who is in danger of being slaughtered by the farmer. To persuade the farmer to let Wilbur live, Charlotte writes messages praising him in her web. And the tale follows both of their experiences in the endeavour.
