Staying active during a busy week can sometimes be a challenge. But the city of Gainesville offers several adults sports leagues to help them get exercise as well as hang out with friends. Gainesville Parks and Recreation offers four sports throughout the year for adults: softball in summer and fall; basketball in winter; flag football in late fall; and various racquet sports, such as tennis and pickleball, offered throughout the year.
