First Friday on the square in downtown Gainesville is back and packed with activities. The monthly celebration from 5-10 p.m. on the first Friday of each month from May through September includes the usual extended shopping and dining hours, as well as an art walk. This installation also includes a performance by Alchemy Drumming and Dancing from 5-6 p.m. From 6-9 p.m., Open Mic Atlanta will be hosting an open mic session for musicians.
