If you been thinking about a new look for your home or office, hit up the downtown Gainesville square Friday evening. The final Art Walk will take place from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 5, with plenty of local artists on hand.

"The artist's will be spread around the square," says Don Griffin, owner of Frames You Nique.

"Melody Scott, who does hand painted wine glasses, will be in Beau Alexander. Cherry O will be face painting in front of the Main Street Market and Anne Brodie Hill, the Lake Lanier artist, will be at Frames You-Nique along with jewelry maker Mary Jane Ghent."

Landscape photographer Eric Hanson, also will be on the stage at AJ's Food and Fun, and artist Robert Krainson will be sketching portraits at Cozy Corner.

Tandy Ray will be demonstrating techniques in front of Saul's, and watercolorist Ellene Breedlove Davis will be showing her landscapes at the Horse and Hound.

The Art Walk coincides with First Fridays, which features live music and late-night shopping and dining on the square. The event is fun for the entire family and a creative way to beat the heat.
