Got a bit of the acting bug? Fifth Row Center is holding auditions for its upcoming production of "Fiddler on the Roof." The show is directed by Myrna Feldman with musical direction by Billy Valentine. Tryouts will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 6 and Jan. 8 at the Buford Community Center Theater, 2200 Buford Highway in Buford. Callbacks will be given Friday, Jan. 10, by invitation only.

All rehearsals will take place in the evenings at the Sylvia Beard Theatre

The casting will be as follows:

Fourteen roles for men ages 16 to 106 (The role of Tevye has been cast)

Fourteen roles for women ages 16-106

Two roles for girls ages 10-15

Two roles for boys ages 10-15

Those interested are asked to prepare 16 to 32 bars of a Broadway song (not from Fiddler) and bring sheet music. There will be an accompanist available. Cold reading from the script will also be required along with a headshot or current photo.

The show dates are May 1-4 and 8-11 with rehearsals beginning Feb. 3.

Attendance is required at all scheduled rehearsals. Be prepared to list all conflicts between Feb. 3 and performance dates.
