Eyes on the skies for a solar eclipse

A partial solar eclipse may be visible in Gainesville tonight.
Residents may put their eyes toward the skies in hopes of seeing a partial solar eclipse tonight. In the early evening Oct. 23, a partial solar eclipse will be visible from Gainesville. To view this rare sight, three telescopes equipped with solar filters will be available to the public to use at 5:45 p.m. in Sardis Creek Park.
