Writing a novel might not be a walk in the park, but in a sense it was for former WSB-TV reporter Joyce Oscar and Donald Reichardt, former AT&T and BellSouth executive and a former Hall County resident.

The two had met, but they didn’t know they were neighbors until a chance meeting while exercising their dogs in a Roswell park. They revived an idea they had discussed years earlier about writing a book together.

The result was “Justice on Hold,” a crime thriller inspired by true events, introduced last winter by Unlimited Publishing.

The authors will discuss their experience and sign books at the Hall Book Exchange in Gainesville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 9.

The two have scheduled a number of appearances at book festivals, book clubs and arts festivals.

Oscar and Reichardt have committed a portion of their book sales to help domestic violence victims. They recently wrote their first check to the Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

More information about the authors and their book can be found online at www.justiceonhold.com. The Hall Book Exchange can be found at www.hallbookexchange.com.
