As the summer season nears an end, some motorcyclists may want to hit the road for a final ride under sunny skies.

Brecht Stables and Dustin’s Place will give them the chance to do so in mass. The therapeutic horseback riding business is hosting its second annual Ride with Pride event next weekend.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, with the ride taking to the streets at 10 a.m. The ride will begin and end at the RaceTrac gas station on Ga. 400 in Dawsonville.

The cost is $25 per rider and $15 per extra rider. It includes the ride and lunch, including sandwiches from RaceTrac and desserts from Processors Co-op. Participants should mark the type of sandwich wanted on the registration form.

Interested participants may send their registration form and payment to Brecht Stables, 6580 Riley Road, Cumming, GA 30028. Or they may pay by credit card through a paypal account on the website, www.brechtstables.org, with paypal email address of lynn@brechtstables.org.

Funds raised will benefit a group of athletes heading to the Special Olympics. Any money left over will go directly into the stables hay fund which gets expensive in the winter.
