As more electric cars, hybrids and fuel-efficient vehicles populate the roadways, the transportation industry stemmed from the humble beginnings atop of four-legged animals. Author Tom Rasmussen will highlight the evolution of the industry through his recently published book, “Mules and Trains to Automobiles.” The local historian will discuss it at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Northeast Georgia History Center, 322 Academy Street, NE, in Gainesville.
