Gainesville High School's Environmental Awareness Club members have decided to celebrate Earth Hour with a musical tribute.

From 7:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, club members will take to Brenau University's front lawn for an acoustic concert to honor Earth Hour, which started in 2007 in Australia.

Several high school student bands and other artists will perform. Among those scheduled are the band Killer Whale, Shaw Smalls, Jake Summer and DiNesha Rucker.

Refreshments and small treats will be provided. Students ask that you leave the concert consciously aware of the recycling and energy conservation efforts being made to make a cleaner and safer planet for everyone.
