Fifth Row Center actors are ready to put on "some" performance as they take to the stage to act out E.B. White's children's classic "Charlotte's Web."
The community theater group will put on shows at the historic Flowery Branch Train Depot, 5600 Main St., Flowery Branch.
Charlotte, Wilbur and the gang will make their appearances on Friday through Sunday and March 18-20.
Performance times are at 7 p.m. on Fridays, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays, during the show's run in Flowery Branch.
For those who are unfamiliar, the story follows the life of Wilbur the pig. At birth, Wilbur is considered to be too small, so the farmer is preparing to slaughter him, but Fern, the farmer's daughter is able to save him. With Fern's love and attention, Wilbur grows and grows.
As Wilbur gains weight, the other farm animals warn him that he again will be up for slaughter.
Led by a spider named Charlotte, the animals set upon a campaign to spare Wilbur's life — again.
Tickets for the shows are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Theater-goers are also encouraged to wear their favorite farmer gear, to fit with the rural setting of "Charlotte's Web."
If weather permits, the March 20 performance will be held outdoors at Sterling on the Lake, 7004 Lake Sterling Blvd., Flowery Branch. Seating for that performance will be unlimited and guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
However, seating is limited for the train depot performances and patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance by calling 678-357-7359 or visiting www.FifthRowCenter.com.
