Minor leads G-Braves past PawSox

Mike Minor had eight strikeouts in seven innings to lead the Gwinnett Braves to a 5-1 win against the Pawtucket Red Sox on Tuesday at McCoy Stadium.

Mauro Gomez extended his hitting streak to five games with a two-run double in the eighth inning that gave Gwinnett (17-14) a 4-1 lead.

Gwinnett and Pawtucket continue their series at 6:15 p.m. today. Roderigo Lopez (4-0, 2.11) is scheduled to start for Gwinnett.
