G-Braves hit hard by Syracuse

A long night for the G-Braves ended in a 13-4 loss at the Syracuse Chiefs.

Steven Shell picked up the loss, pitching three innings and allowing five earned runs on six hits, three of which left the park.

Reliever Dustin Richardson also allowed seven on seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. Gwinnett's offense was led by Jeff Fiorentino and Brandon Hicks, who each hit a solo home run.

The G-Braves face Syracuse at 7 p.m. tonight in Syracuse, N.Y.
