Columbus completes sweep of G-Braves

Rodrigo Lopez went 5 2/3 innings, yielding three runs on nine hits, but couldn't earn his fifth win when Columbus spoiled his decision with a late 8-5 comeback win Friday at Coolray Field.

Gwinnett couldn't hold a late 5-3 lead, as Columbus tacked on two runs in the eithth inning and three more in the ninth frame to earn the victory.

The G-Braves (13-9) remain in first place in the International League South division, while the Clippers (17-5) remain in first place in the IL
West after the win. Gwinnett opens a four-game series with Scranton Wilkes-Barre at 7 tonight.
