The new year has arrived and lake water temperatures are all over the place this week. There is still some ice melting in the back of the coves, with the main lake sitting around the mid 40s. Lake Lanier’s water level is Ú-foot below full pool at 1,070.75 feet, but more rain is projected and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers continues to pull a lot of water to get Lanier down low enough ahead of the spring rains.
