The North Georgia College and State University softball team swept a doubleheader with West Georgia, 11-0, 8-0, on Wednesday at Haines and Carolyn Hill Stadium in Dahlonega.
North Georgia improves their record to 29-0, with twelve of those wins coming in Peach Belt Conference play.
Pilar Harden hit her first home run of the year in the first, Leslee Smith singled to right in the second to score Lauren Dykes and Laura Voyles and Hilary Cox and Katherin Martin each provided RBI singles later in the inning to give North Georgia an 9-0 lead.
A two-run third inning saw Dykes single up the middle to bring Whitney Holman and Callie Fernandez home and give the Saints the 11-0 win.
Sarah Phillips threw the first three innings of game one, allowing no hits and striking out two and Krysten Connelly pitched the rest of the game, surrendering two hits in two innings while preserving the shutout.
Phillips notched her second win of the day in Game 2, throwing five innings and giving up just three hits while striking out five with no walks.
