It’s do or die time in the Giants-Braves series today in Atlanta. If the Giants win, they advance to the NLCS. The Braves are set to send out Derek Lowe, while the Giants will send out rookie Madison Bumgarner.
If the Giants don’t win today, the two will travel to San Francisco for a Game 5 where Tim Lincecum will likely take the mound for San Francisco.
In the series opener, Lincecum hurled a two-hit shutout and struckout 14 in a 1-0 win.

If Vick is unable to go, Kevin Kolb will start for the second week in a row.
ATLANTA THRASHERS: The Thrashers will look to get off to a fast start with the season barely underway despite suffering a scare in the season opener when starting goalie Ondrej Pavelec collapsing on ice during live action in the season opener Friday. He’ll undergo tests to determine the cause of his collapse and the status of his help.
In the meantime, the Thrashers play three games on the west coast against Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday, the Anaheim Ducks on Friday and the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
