Flowery Branch graduate Erika Rucker, who is representing the United States at the 14th IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain, finished first in heat six of six yesterday morning in the 400-meter dash and will move on to the second round at 3 p.m. today. Rucker is ranked tenth amongst all 400-meter runners, and has two rounds to advance to the final race of nine that will take place Friday evening. She will also race on the US 1600-meter relay team, which is favored to win gold.
