ATLANTA — Georgia State, which had no scholarship seniors on its inaugural 2010 team, has added eight signees.
Georgia State coach Bill Curry returns every starter except the place-kicker from his 6-5 team. His eight signees on Wednesday included six players from Georgia. Five are from the Atlanta area.

Curry says he's looking for immediate help from Georgia Military College transfers D'Mario Gunn, a defensive back from Hampton, Ga., and linebacker Qwontez Mallory from Albany, Ga.

Ben McLane, the starter for Class AAAAA state champion Brookwood High, is the only quarterback in the class.

Curry hopes to replace the one starter who graduated, place-kicker Iain Vance, by signing Christian Benvenuto of Palm Coast, Fla.
