Recent Gainesville High graduate Spencer Ralston earned a tie for seventh place after a two-day total of 138 (2-under par) at the Georgia State Amateur Golf Championship Wednesday at the Capital City Club-Crabapple Course in Woodstock. With his seventh-place spot, the University of Georgia signee advances to the 32 players in the match play portion that starts Friday at the Capital City Club-Brookhaven. On Tuesday, Ralston shot a 5-under 65, followed up by a 3-over par 73 in the final round.
