Gainesville High graduate Spencer Ralston tied for eighth as the University of Georgia golf team placed second at the Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic on Sunday in Lahaina, Hawaii.
Ralston fired a 68 on Sunday to finish the tournament with a 9-under 204. He shot a 72 on the opening day and a 64 during Saturday’s second round.
Greyson Sigg’s 68 in the final round secured third place at 12-under 201 to pace the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs finished the tournament one stroke behind Clemson, which combined for a three-day total of 26-under 826. It was the second-straight season Georgia finished as runner up in the event.
LSU took third at 24-under 828, Oklahoma was fourth at 18 under and South Carolina wrapped up the top five at 12 under.
Georgia State also competed in the event and finished with a 2-over 854, tied for eighth.
