Three area teams ranked in basketball poll

Three area schools were ranked in the Georgia Sports Writers Association high school basketball poll released Monday.

The Buford girls are ranked the highest among area team, with a No. 2 rank in the Class AA behind Vidalia. The Lady Wolves earned two first-place votes.

The Gainesville girls are also ranked at No. 5 in Class AAA.

West Hall was the lone area boys team ranked, landing at No. 6 in Class AAA.
