The Dawson County Lady Tigers were able to pull away from Fannin County in the second quarter by outscoring them 22–8 to take a lead that would carry them to a 56-39 win and the Region 7-AAA championship game on Friday at North Hall High in Gainesville. Carly Gilreath led the Lady Tigers (23-4) with 26 points, and Sheyenne Seabolt notched a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dawson County plays Buford in the region championship game at 7 p.m. tonight at North Hall in Gainesville.
