Prep track: North Hall's Long breaks school record

North Hall senior Nick Long broke a 22-year-old school record Saturday at the Coaches’ Invitational track meet on the campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta. With a time of 4:26.55 in the 1,600 meter run, Long placed fifth among 30 competitors.

Competing in the girls 1,600 meter run, Morgan Van Gorder set a personal best with a time of 5:35.64.

Also competing for the Trojans were Jackson Griffeth, who cleared 5-feet, 10-inches in the high jump, and Katie Spell, who recorded a throw of 86 feet in the discus.
