Lawson leads Riverside Military Academy Cross Country to third place at Riverside Invitational

Riverside Military Academy sophomore Braden Lawson finished 12th out of 165 runners with a time 17 minutes, 25.1 seconds, helping the Eagles place third overall in Tuesday’s Riverside Invitational in Gainesville.

Teammate Mark Shoda (17:51.3) finshed 23rd, while Brad Porter finished 25th (17:55.6) for the Eagles. Brent Lowery finshed 27th (18:04.1).

Riverside Military travels to Tallulah Falls at 4 p.m. on Oct. 18 in Tallulah Falls.

Jefferson’s Ella Rosenberger finished 13th out of 68 runners to lead the Lady Dragons to fifth overall during Tuesday’s Riverside Invitational in Gainesville. The sophomore set a mile pace of 6:55 to cross the finish line in 21:29.4 minutes.

Emily Wilson (21:37.1) was the next to cross for the Lady Dragons, finishing 16th.

Jefferson competes in the Coach Wood meet in Oakwood on Saturday.
