For The Times

A dominating second half from North Hall boys set the stage for a come-from-behind 68-62 win against Chestatee in the third-place game in Lanierland on Wednesday.

Down by four points going into the fourth quarter, Corlin Sosebee and Eli Campbell drained 3-pointers, giving the Trojans (5-6) their first lead as they scored 24 points in the final period.

Chestatee (3-8) kept it close as freshman point guard Josh Bull made all six of his free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter and scored 8 points in the second half.

North Hall coach Miles Kendall was pleased with its effort down the stretch and ability to not stress about fouls.

“We really cranked up the intensity and we finally found five guys that were gelling together.” Kendall said. “The energy changed the momentum of the game.”

Cole Ellis scored a game-high 12 points for North Hall, while senior Clark Howell added 10.

Sosebee’s second made long shot gave North Hall a six-point lead.
