HS scoreboard: Carter Reeves' double-double leads Lakeview Academy boys over Providence Christian
Reeves had 16 points and 17 rebounds in the Lions' 53-43 win; Hanna Grogan scores 32 for the girls

The Lakeview Academy boys defeated Providence Christian 53-43 Friday night in Lilburn with the help of a double-double by junior Carter Reeves.

Reeves netted 16 points and nabbed 17 boards. Teammate Drew Cottrell scored a team-high 17 points, and Daniel Fadool dished out 10 assists.

Lakeview Academy (5-1, 1-0 8-A) hosts Prince Avenue 7:30 p.m. tonight.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 62, PROVIDENCE CHRISTIAN 40: Lakeview junior Hanna Grogan led the Lady Lions with 32 points Friday night.

The Lady Lions took down Providence Christian with an impressive fourth quarter, outscoring the Lady Storm 24-8.

Lakeview Academy (3-4, 1-0 8-A) hosts Prince Avenue at 6 p.m. tonight.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 73, EAST HALL 68: The Leopards were led by Zez Steeple and Kendrick Simmons who both scored 17 points Friday night in Gainesville.

Banks County junior Kahmal Wiley posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Trevae Cain added 10 points.

Banks County (7-0, 2-0 7-AAA) hosts Dawson County 8 p.m. Tuesday, while East Hall (4-2, 1-1) hosts Peachtree Ridge 7:30 p.m. tonight.

EAST HALL GIRLS 67, BANKS COUNTY 32: Lady Vikings’ Jenny Edwards and Ashlyn Ellison scored 16 points each Friday night.

East Hall teammates Carly Winters scored 15, and Kylah Mize added 10 points.

East Hall (6-2, 1-1 7-AAA) visits Lumpkin County next Friday, while Banks County (5-2, 1-1) hosts Dawson County 6 p.m. Tuesday.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 32, FORSYTH CENTRAL 29: The Lady Eagles’ Lindsey Caudell led the team with 15 points Friday night.

Chestatee’s Brooklyn Popham had nine points, and Dawndria Bell added seven.

Chestatee (4-3) hosts Banks County 7 p.m. next Friday.
