High school scoreboard: West Hall girls cruise to win against Johnson

Avery Prather led the West Hall girls with 18 points in a 59-8 win against Johnson on Saturday in Oakwood.

Anna McKendree, Reagan Horton and Aashyah White each chipped in seven points for the Lady Spartans (2-3). On Friday, West Hall hosts Class 7A Grayson at 7 p.m. in Oakwood.

BUFORD GIRLS 91, GREENBRIER 20: Marissa Bruce scored 17 points and was one of five Lady Wolves (2-0) in double figures scoring Saturday in Evans. Audrey Weiner (12 points) Tory Ozment (11), Kya Styles (11) and Tate Walters (10) were also in double-digit points for Buford.

On Tuesday, Buford faces Cedar Shoals at 6 p.m. in Athens.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 54, LUMPKIN COUNTY 32: Lindsey Caudell scored a game-high 18 points and Brooklyn Popham finished with 14 for the Lady War Eagles (6-0) on Saturday. Peri Satterfield scored 12 for Chestatee. On Tuesday, Chestatee hosts Forsyth Central at 6 p.m.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 48, MADISON COUNTY 38: Jaycie Bowen scored 24 points and made all four of her free throw attempts on Saturday. Gabby Kennedy finished with nine points for the Lady Leopards (3-2).

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 63, MADISON COUNTY 52: Kahmal Wiley finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Leopards on Saturday.

Gabe Martin hit 4 of 6 3-point attempts, and scored 19 points for Banks County. Dylan Orr scored 11 points with 14 rebounds and six blocks for the Leopards, while Dylan Nix chipped in nine points.

DAWSON COUNTY BOYS 61, WHITE COUNTY 37: Cullen Reed scored a team-high 13 points for the Tigers (3-3) on Saturday in Dawsonville. Kane Pelfrey (10 points) scored eight points in the first quarter as Dawson County jumped to an 18-10 lead.

Jeremiah Crumley finished with 10 points for the Tigers. On Tuesday, Dawson County hosts Rabun County at 7:30 in Dawsonville.

John Ward finished with 12 points for the Warriors.

DAWSON COUNTY GIRLS 75, WHITE COUNTY 37: Abi Chatham scored a team-high 19 points for the Tigers on Saturday, while Kaylee Sticker finished with 17.
