Jessi Phillips scored 10 points to lead Dawson County’s girls basketball team in a 52-31 loss to Walnut Grove on Tuesday night in Walnut Grove.
The Lady Tigers (7-4, 2-1 Region 8A-AA) led 8-2 after the first quarter, but the Lady Warriors rallied to end 26-19 at halftime en route to the win.
Dawson County visits East Jackson at 7 p.m. Friday in Commerce.

INDIANS SWEEP TRI-MATCH: Todd Berry extended his win streak to 16 matches on the season, and won two matches by pin, to lead the Lumpkin County wrestling team to a 54-12 win over Murphy (N.C.) and a 34-27 win against White County on Tuesday night in Dahlonega.
Josh Berry (145 pounds) and Travis Burton each won two matches by pin for the Indians (13-4).
Tyler Eaton, Aaron Salazar, Will Dawson, Lee Cagle, Jake McClure and Cody Cantrell each added a win by pin.
