The North Hall softball team lost to Lanier 7-5 in the first round of the Region 8-AAA tournament Monday in Toccoa.

The Lady Trojans' Hayden Savage had a hit and a RBI. Jordyn Porter and Melissa Adams also had a RBI each for North Hall.

Courtney Gearin was the winning pitcher and pitched a complete game for the Trojans.

North Hall's season is complete.

Volleyball

GAINESVILLE DROPS ROAD MATCH: The Red Elephants lost to North Forsyth (25-20, 25-18) Monday night in Cumming.

Lauren Carter had 21 digs and Kaylin Walden added 12 assists for Gainesville. The Red Elephants' Anna Walker recorded seven kills.

Gainesville (16-6, 5-1 Region 8-AAA) plays in a tri-match at North Hall against Johnson at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. The

Region 8-AAA tournament is set to begin Thursday at Oconee County High School.
