The Chestatee girls needed an extra period to remain unbeaten and defeat Northview, 45-42, outscoring the Titans 5-2 in overtime on Monday at the Lanier Thanksgiving Tournament in Sugar Hill.

Meagan Kenimer tallied 17 points and 12 rebounds, leading Chestatee in both categories. Bridgette Kelly added 10 points.

The War Eagles (2-0) play South Gwinnett at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Lanier.

JOHNSON BOYS 56, SOUTHWEST ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 38: Matt Hollis had 21 points for the Knights on Monday in the first round of the Johnson Tip-Off Classic. Johnson’s Ty Odem recorded 12 points and eight rebounds, and Montrell McKenzie added 15 rebounds in the winning effort.

The Knights (1-1) host North Cobb in the Johnson Tip-Off Classic Championship at 8:30 on Tuesday.

WHITE COUNTY BOYS 72, HIWASEE DAM, N.C.: Spencer Adams (eight rebounds) and Trey Thomas (3-of-4 on 3-pointers) scored 11 points each. Andrew London had 8 points and 7 assists.

White County hosts Union County at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday during day two of the White County Tip-Off Classic.

PROVIDENCE GIRLS 42, LAKEVIEW 30: Taylor Handte scored 10 points for the Lady Lions (2-1) in a loss on Monday night at the Johnson Tip-Off Classic in Oakwood. Erica Godfrey had 18 points for Providence (1-1) to lead all scorers.

Lakeview will play Johnson in the third-place game at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Johnson.

Providence will play Kell at 7 p.m. in the championship game.

KELL GIRLS 65, JOHNSON 27: The Lady Knights’ Lyndsey Pethel recorded 10 rebounds and nine points in a first- round loss in the Johnson Tip-Off Classic on Monday in Oakwood. Johnson (0-2) will play Lakeview at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at home in the third-place game.
