The Banks County boys basketball team earned their first win of the season 55-52 over Lumpkin County on Tuesday in Dahlonega.

The Leopards’ Taylor Foster scored a game-high 23 points and Jacob Blalock posted 14 points for Banks County (1-0).
Cain Almedia had 13 points and Kelvin Williams added 11 points for the Indians (0-1).

The Indians play Salem at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lanier High.

The Leopards play at Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

BANKS COUNTY GIRLS 45, LUMPKIN COUNTY 15: Kaitlyn Duncan scored 11 points to lead the Lady Leopards (1-0) in a rout on Tuesday in Dahlonega. Taylor Kennedy had 11 points for Banks County.

The Lady Indians play South Gwinnett 4 p.m. on Monday at Lanier High.

The Lady Leopards visit Habersham Central at 6 p.m. on Monday.
