The North Hall High girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season by edging out Pace Academy 64-62 on Monday in the East Jackson Tournament in Commerce.

Freshman McKenna Rushton led the Lady Trojans (1-1) with 16 points. Another freshman, Taylor Swoszowski, added 15 points for North Hall.

The Lady Trojans continue play in the East Jackson Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Lumpkin County boys 71, Whitewater 45

Shawn Chapman led the Indians (1-1) with 25 points, E.J. Young had 18 points and Austin Tolbert added 14 points for Lumpkin County on Monday in the White County Tip-off Tournament in Cleveland.

Lumpkin County faces either White County or Athens Christian at 8:30 tonight in Cleveland.

Hart County girls 42, West Hall 32

Jayla Moon led the lady Spartans with 15 points Monday in an East Jackson Tournament game in Commerce.

West Hall (1-2) will face either Grayson or Monroe Area in the tournament consolation game at 4 p.m. Saturday.
