The Jefferson baseball team split a doubleheader with Wesleyan in the second round of the Class AA state tournament on Wednesday in Jefferson. The Dragons (26-3) won the first game 8-3, with Micah Carpenter striking out six from the mound. Trent Sorrells led the Jefferson offense in Game 1 with a pair of RBIs and a run scored on a single and a home run in a 2-for-3 performance.
