Cameron Johnson hit a two-run home run to lead West Hall to an 8-1 victory over Berkmar on Monday.

Lincoln Stubbs and Michael Cronic both went 2 for 3 for the Spartans (4-0), and Zach English recorded his second straight win from the mound.

West Hall plays host to Jackson County on Wednesday in Oakwood.

GAINESVILLE 16, HABERSHAM CENTRAL 0: Michael Gettys went 3 for 3 with a home run, double and three RBIs for the Red Elephants on Monday in Mount Airy.

Sam Carpenter finished 3 for 3 as well with two doubles and three RBIs, and Drew Satterfield was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs for Gainesville.

Chandler Newton earned the win from the mound with six strikeouts over four innings.

Gainesville plays host to Habersham Central on Wednesday at Ivey-Watson Field.

LUMPKIN COUNTY 5, BANKS COUNTY 0: Cody Waters threw seven innings with 13 strikeouts for the Indians on Monday in Dahlonega.

Sebastian Dunn, Timmy Summersett and Weston Dowdy each recorded a hit and a RBI for Lumpkin County (3-2).

The Indians visit North Hall at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Gainesville.

JACKSON COUNTY 9, PRINCE AVENUE CHRISTIAN 2: Patrick Overstreet went 2 for 3 with two runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases to lead the Panthers on Monday in Jefferson.

Joel Ellis was 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Nick Corso finished 2 for 3 with three runs scored and four stolen bases, and Andrew Fogarty had a double with two RBIs.

Jase Latty earned the win pitching with five strikeouts, four hits and two runs over four innings. Coleman Barbee pitched three innings in relief and struck out eight with no hits.

Jackson County visits West Hall on Wednesday in Oakwood.


GAINESVILLE 10, FORSYTH CENTRAL 4: The Red Elephants won their first game of the season behind John Wagner’s five goals on Monday.

Triston Wimpye added three goals for Gainesville, and Bill Hood and Austin Graybeal each scored one goal.

The Red Elephants play host to Martin Luther King Jr. at 6:30 p.m. tonight at City Park.
