Habersham Central tennis defeats East Hall 3-2

Top No. 1 doubles duo Alex McEntyre and Sam Williams led Habersham Central to a 3-2 win against East Hall with a 7-6, 7-6 win on Tuesday afternoon in Gainesville. Payton Carr and John Benton added a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles for the Raiders, and Austin Miller finished with a 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 win.

Dane Allen continued his undefeated season with a 6-0; 6-0 win at No. 1 singles for the Vikings, and Patricio Cruz, who also remained undefeated this season, won in a three-set match 6-4, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 2 singles.

Habersham Central visits Flowery Branch today and East Hall visits Banks County at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

WEST HALL BOYS 5, MONROE AREA 0 (TUESDAY): Max Wilson, Connor McFall and Tatum Scroggs each recorded wins for the Spartans (9-1, 7-1 Region 8-AAA South) at singles on Tuesday afternoon.

EAST HALL BOYS 4, RABUN COUNTY 1 (MONDAY): Dane Allen remains undefeated for the Vikings (3-2, 2-1 Region 8-AA North) with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles on Monday afternoon. Patricio Cruz added a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles for East Hall, Nathan Vandiver finished 6-1, 6-1, and No. 2 doubles team Carlos De La Cruz and Isaac Salazar won 6-0, 6-0.


PICKENS COUNTY BOYS 3, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 2 (TUESDAY): Knox Roberts scored a goal for the Lions off of an assist from Chandler Fox on Tuesday night. Tyler Kimball added a goal for Lakeview and Dalton Snyder recorded seven saves in goal.

The Lions host Hebron Christian at 4 p.m. Thursday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 7, PICKENS COUNTY 0 (TUESDAY): Carly Kenny led the Lady Lions with two goals Tuesday night. Amy Groth, Megan McIntire and Jenny Lee each added a goal for Lakeview.

The Lady Lions host Hebron Christian at 4 p.m. Thursday.
