Laur leads Flowery Branch in 11-7 win

Andrew Laur had two home runs for Flowery Branch in a 11-7 win against Dacula High on Monday night in Dacula. Chase Hulsey added a home run for the Falcons, and Brad Keller earned the win.

The Falcons play West Forsyth at 5:55 p.m. Thursday at North Georgia College & State University.

NORTH HALL 12, CHESTATEE 2: Avery Smith led the Trojans (5-3, 1-0 Region 8-AAA North) pitching a five-inning complete game, allowing only five hits with seven strikeouts. Cody Fowler went 3 for 3 with two RBIs for North Hall and Jesse Strickland finished 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

The Trojans visit Walnut Grove at 5:55 p.m. Friday.

LANIER 2, JOHNSON 1: A.J. Benefield hit the lone RBI for the Knights on Monday afternoon in Sugar Hill.

After a tie through eight innings, Lanier hit a walk-off single in the ninth.

GAINESVILLE 4, WALNUT GROVE 0: David Gonzalez earned the win for the Red Elephants (8-0) with four no-hit innings and three strikeouts on Monday night in Loganville.

Hunter Anglin got the save for Gainesville, pitching three innings with three strikeouts.

Stephen Mason, Skyler Weber and Ryan Griffith led the Red Elephants’ offense.

Gainesville hosts Johnson at 5:55 p.m., Wednesday.

Soccer

RIVERSIDE MILITARY 5, EAST JACKSON 1: Ryan Marcano led the Eagles, scoring a hat trick on Monday night. Oliseabuka Madichie and Ricardo Rivera each added a goal for Riverside.

The Eagles visit Chestatee at 7:50 p.m. Friday.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 3, CREEKSIDE CHRISTIAN 0: Chandler Staton, Corwin Kulig and Dylan Boonstra each scored for the Chargers (5-3) on Monday night at Allen Creek Soccer Complex. Mancini Morales earned shutout for North Georgia.

The Chargers host New Creation Christian at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

NORTH GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 7, CREEKSIDE CHRISTIAN 0: Sally Maclagan scored two goals for the Lady Chargers (5-2) on Monday night at Allen Creek Soccer Complex. Jordan Ball, Nicole Ball, Kayla Goodson, Rachel Maclagan, and Morgan Johnson each added a goal for North Georgia.

The Lady Chargers host New Creation Christian at 10 a.m. Saturday.
