High school scoreboard: Knights edge Spartans

With only 19 seconds left in the game, Matt Hollis hit a pair of free throws to give the Johnson boys basketball team a two-point lead, and then the Knights forced a turnover on the next possession to secure a 66-64 win against West Hall on Tuesday in Oakwood.

Johnson trailed 36-32 at halftime, but rallied to a 48-48 tie after the third quarter.

Tre Dudley scored 16 points, Chris Henry added 14 points, Hollis chipped in 13 points, and E.J. Wright posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Johnson (7-4, 3-1 Region 7B-AAA).

Jarquise Young led West Hall (8-6, 1-3) with 25 points.

Shunquez Stephens added 13 and William Stroup added 12 for the Spartans, who visit Johns Creek at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Knights play host to Flowery Branch at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

WEST HALL GIRLS 46, JOHNSON 32: Sophomore Brooke Reed scored 12 points to lead the Lady Spartans, who saw their seven-game losing streak come to an end on Tuesday in Oakwood.

Bailey Soucie added 10 points in the win.

Junior Caitlyn Sloan scored 11 points to lead the Lady Knights, who play host to Flowery Branch at 7 p.m. Friday.

West Hall (3-10, 1-3 Region 7B-AAA) visits Johns Creek at 6 p.m. Friday.

NORTH HALL BOYS 84, WHITE COUNTY 48: Senior Robby Hill scored 17 points to lead North Hall on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Chase Syfan added 11 points for the Trojans (11-2, 2-1 Region 7A-AAA), who play host to Creekview at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Ashely Lowery and Luke Fincher scored 14 points each to lead the Indians, who visit Gilmer at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Ellijay.

NORTH HALL GIRLS 61, WHITE COUNTY 51: McKenna Rushton scored 20 points to lead North Hall on Tuesday in Cleveland.

Mary Kate Rushton and Shakeyla Rucker added eight points each for the Lady Trojans (11-2), who play host to Creekview at 6 p.m. Friday.

White County visits Pickens at 5 p.m. Saturday.

WALNUT GROVE GIRLS 60, JEFFERSON 47: Erin Knight scored 16 points to lead Jefferson on Tuesday.

Rachal Goza, Skylar Evanson and Stephanie Fincher added eight points each for the Lady Dragons (3-11, 0-1 Region 8B-AA), who play host to Oglethorpe County at 6 p.m. in Jefferson.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 87, SOCIAL CIRCLE 66: Ross Biegler and Austin Montgomery scored 16 points each to lead Lakeview on Tuesday in Social Circle.

Daniel Olvera added 15 points for the Lions (5-7, 4-1 Region 8-A), who play host to Towns County at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

SOCIAL CIRCLE GIRLS 41, LAKEVIEW ACADEMY 34: Senior Louisa Jacobs scored eight points to lead the Lady Lions on Tuesday in Social Circle.

Lakeview (7-6) plays host to Towns County at 7 p.m. Friday.
