Led by 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals from Taylor Guthrie, the Lumpkin County Indians beat Gilmer 46-43 on Tuesday in Dahlonega.

Hunter Polk added 11 pounds and four rebounds for Lumpkin County, which visits White County at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

WEST HALL DEFEATS JACKSON COUNTY (TUESDAY): The Spartans defeated the Panthers 43 to 32 at West Hall Middle. West Hall fell to Oconee County, 39-27, in the same meet.

West Hall wrestlers with pins included Dorsey Raiford (125 pounds), Anthony Villicana (135), Logan Herford (152), Ricardo Mancilla (171) and Chris Price (189).

West Hall will participate in the Region 8-AAA duals at Oconee County at 5 p.m. Friday.
