Camille Anderson’s 20 points powered the Buford girls in a 74-49 win over White County on Saturday in Cleveland.

Bree Horrocks notched 14 points for the Lady Wolves, and Corey Staples added 10. For White County (9-3, 2-2 Region 7-AAA), Paige Thomas and Abbey Craven each recorded 12 points, and Kaitlin Wilson had 11 points and 10 assists.

Buford plays host to Dawson County on Tuesday, while White County visits Banks County on Tuesday in Homer.

JOHNSON BOYS 78, DUNWOODY 64: James Hodges paced the Knights with 20 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday in Oakwood.

Ty Cockfield notched 17 points and six assists for Johnson (10-3), and Justin Jones had 14 points and six rebounds.

Roderick English and Carter Cagle each added eight points. The Knights open play in Region 8-AAAA when they visit Madison County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Danielsville.

EAST HALL 69, WEST HALL 58: Kyvon Davenport led the way for the Vikings (6-7, 2-2 Region 7-AAA) with 23 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocked shots on Saturday.

Caleb Holtzclaw had five 3 pointers for East Hall and finished with 15 points.

Hunter Atkinson led West Hall with 23 points, while Deandre Peoples chipped in 11. 

East Hall hosts Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Gainesville.

GAINESVILLE BOYS 63, LOGANVILLE 52 (Friday): Luke Maddox tallied 16 points for the Red Elephants on Friday in Loganville.

Sam Carpenter added 14 points, and Jay Gaudlock had nine for Gainesville.

BANKS, BUFORD HEADED TO AAA STATE DUALS: Tony Fultz (183 pounds) and Matthew Dilbeck (220) pinned all three opponents they faced to lead Banks County to an Area 4-AAA Duals Championship on Saturday at Oconee County High in Watkinsville.

The Leopards defeated Buford 34-32 in the finals for the victory.

The Wolves will join Banks County in the Class AAA state duals meet this weekend in Macon.

The Leopards defeated West Hall 63-12 on Friday to move into the semifinals, where the team beat North Hall 36-30, after trailing 30-9 and winning in the final match with a pin from Dilbeck.

Phillip Dean (182) and Cole Sweeney (195) also won three matches, and Jared Slaton (285) won both matches he competed in for Banks County.

Bobby Nguyen (113), Chris McCrackin (126), Kyle Ruark (145), Wes Faulkner (160) and Dylan Gouine (170) all won two out of three matches.Matt Lowe, Corey Turner, Tristan Guthrie and Chris Guthrie all earned wins as well.

The Leopards face Rabun County on Tuesday in Tiger before heading to the Class AAA state meet over the weekend.
