High School Scoreboard: Heinen's 34 points, Easton's double-double boost N. Hall past N. Oconee

Carson Heinen scored 34 points and Evan Easton posted a double-double to lead North Hall to a 69-56 win on Saturday over North Oconee.

Easton added 22 points and 10 boards as the Trojans topped the Titans by 13 points. North Hall (17-6, 5-1 in Region 8-AAAA) next travels to play Chestatee 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

RIVERSIDE MILITARY ACADEMY 49, GREENE COUNTY HIGH 36: Davis Short scored 21 points to lead Riverside Military Academy to a win on Saturday.

The Eagles (10-8, 6-3 Region 8-AA) led by as many as 15 points entering the fourth quarter. With the win, Riverside moves into second place in the region.

Short was 8-for-8 from the field, and made all four of his attempted 3-pointers.

Javon Thompson scored 15 points, while Juwan Thompson added 10 for Riverside.

Riverside shot out to a 21-10 halftime lead following a 16-4 run in the second quarter.

DAWSON COUNTY 58, BANKS COUNTY 46: Karlie Bearden led the Lady Tigers with 24 points as Dawson County (21-2, 9-1 Region 7-AAA) overcame a 12-point halftime deficit.

Eliza Sillesky scored nine points, Haley Burgess had six, while Tabitha Morrison, Katelynn Simpson, and Kaylee Sticker all had 4 points each. 

Banks County led 30-18 entering the 2nd half, but Dawson County held Banks to just five field goals in the final two quarters. The Lady Leopards scored six 3-pointers in the first half.

Dawson County next hosts Fannin County 6 p.m. Tuesday.

BANKS COUNTY BOYS 55, DAWSON COUNTY 44: The Leopards improved to 21-2 overall and 10-0 in the region Saturday night as Zez Steeple posted 23 points.

Zac Orr was one rebound shy of a double-double with his 13 points. Kahmal Wiley scored six points and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Banks County will travel to Dahlonega on Tuesday to play Lumpkin County. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.

WESLEYAN GIRLS 58, BUFORD 39: The Lady Wolves (19-4, 7-0 8-AAAA) were led by Jessica Nelson with 10 points in a losing effort Saturday night.

Buford will play its final region game Friday when it hosts White County at 7 p.m.
